🚨 URGENT: Help Us Double Our Impact Before 16 June! 🚨
We’ve hit 700 petitioners—a huge milestone and a testament to the strength of our community. Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared so far!
But we’re not done yet. So many people remain unaware of what's at stake.
🕒 Time is running out. The deadline to respond to the proposed Ministerial Call-In for the Coochin Fields development is the ecologically sensitive Pumicestone Passage Catchment area closes 16 June 2025. That’s just around the corner—and we need to make our voices louder than ever.
💥 Here’s the challenge:
If every one of our 700+ petitioners gets just one more person to sign, we’ll hit 1,400+ signatures—doubling our impact and sending a clear message to the Minister:
Respect the planning process. Protect Pumicestone Passage and the Northern Inter Urban Break. Listen to the community.
📢 Why this matters:
If the Minister proceeds with the Call-In, the community will lose the right to comment on the development application or appeal the decision. This bypasses the normal planning process, which includes thorough assessments by both local and state government agencies—and removes the transparency and accountability that Queenslanders expect and deserve.
📣 What you can do right now:
Share the petition with your friends, family, and networks.
Post on social media with a personal message about why this matters to you.
Talk to your neighbours—every signature counts.
Let’s show the Minister that our community is united, informed, and ready to stand up for what’s right.
Together, we can protect our environment, our planning system, and our future.
