I just wanted to let you all know that Andy Burnham has now excluded rapists and child sexual offenders from the early release scheme.
For those who don’t know, I handed our petition into Downing Street along with a letter signed by myself and so many incredible victims and survivors I have met throughout this campaign. Together, we made our voices impossible to ignore.
To every single person who signed, shared, commented, messaged, or stood beside us—thank you. This simply would not have happened without your support, and I am so incredibly grateful. Because of all of you, so many survivors can breathe a little easier today.
But while today is a victory, my fight doesn’t end here.
I remain deeply concerned that other violent offenders are still being released under this scheme. If you could please write to your local MP to show your further concerns on this matter that will really help us continue the fight.

Over the past few weeks, one thing has become painfully clear: our justice system too often prioritises those who commit these crimes, while victims and survivors are left to fight to be heard. From the moment a crime is reported to long after sentencing, too many survivors are made to feel like an afterthought. That has to change.
This campaign has shown what can happen when people come together, and I truly believe this is only the beginning. I will keep fighting for a justice system that genuinely puts victims first.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Every signature, every share, and every voice made a difference. We achieved this together. ❤️
