Protect Public Broadcasting Service and National Public Radio from Government Cuts

The Issue

Attention all American people! Our beloved Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and National Public Radio (NPR) face a dire situation. It's personal to all of us, especially in the case of fighting against New York congresswoman Claudia Tenney, Utah republican senator Mike Lee,Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chairman Brendan Carr, and other Republican lawmakers in the nation targeting these crucial educational and informative services in 2025. Their actions attempt to cut federal funding for PBS and NPR, with significant comprisal of services these entities provide to millions of Americans in the form of unbiased news, educational programming, and cultural enrichment. On top of that, these lawmakers are aiming to pass the "Defund Government Sponsored Propaganda Act," which directly threatens our access to reliable, objective, and locally focused reporting.

PBS and NPR provide invaluable services to our society. According to a recent study by Nielsen, an average of 86% of all U.S. television households tune into PBS, for instance. This highlights the vital role these platforms play in providing education to our communities. As citizens, we must rise against these cuts and protect our sources of unbiased, quality public broadcasting.

Please stand up for an informed society by showing your support to safeguard PBS and NPR. Let it be clear! It’s time to fight back! We must appeal to lawmakers and passionately express the value and importance we as a nation place on public broadcasting services. Show your support. Protect the futures of PBS and NPR. Sign this petition today. PBS and NPR is NOT going anywhere!

Thank you very much.
