Thank you for signing. We're at 905 — just 95 away from 1,000. Here's the one thing that gets us there: share this link with one or two neighbors who haven't signed yet. https://www.change.org/safe-water-and-air In just over two months, this has grown from one neighbor's questions into a real community effort. We've filed formal records requests with state and local agencies, opened direct correspondence with Washington State Ecology and other officials, and Washington's Department of Labor and Industries has opened a safety inspection at Port Townsend Paper Company, following the fatal tank failure at another Washington mill in May. We've also been covered by the Port Townsend Leader, the Seattle Times, and the Jefferson County Beacon. Citizens for Safe Water and Air PT is neighbors asking Port Townsend Paper Company for basic safety and transparency: real tank inspections, real-time public monitoring, and honest answers about our air and water. The Beacon's latest piece, by reporter Scott France, is definitely worth a read: https://www.jeffcobeacon.com/an-investigation-into-the-paper-mills-operations-reveals-subpar-operational-behavior-and-concerning-effects-on-ecological-and-human-health/ Want to do more than share?
