Protect Pittsboro

The Issue

As a concerned Pittsboro area resident, I am deeply worried about the proposed Cash Concrete plant being built. This plant poses significant risks to our community, including the potential to dry up nearby wells, create infrastructure issues, and cause serious environmental and health hazards.

Concrete plants are known for their heavy water usage which can deplete local water resources. Additionally, they generate dust and pollutants that can affect air quality and lead to respiratory problems for residents. The increased traffic from heavy trucks could also damage our roads and increase noise pollution. Introducing an industrial facility like this would disrupt our way of life and diminish property values.

If you share these concerns but cannot attend town council meetings or do not wish to speak publicly, please join me in signing this petition. Let’s show our town council that we disapprove of I2 zoning and the Cash Concrete proposal.
