We, the parents and community members of St. Rene Goupil, call on the Toronto Catholic District School Board, Trustee Garry Tanuan and Superintendent Ryan Peterson to rescind the decision to assign a new principal twinned with another school and re-instate Principal Kelly Manning as full-time principal for the 2025-2026 school year.

Principal Manning has significantly strengthened community trust and school safety in a very short time. Removing her and replacing her with a part-time leader will undermine that progress and dangerously reduce administrative presence and responsiveness.

A full-time principal is essential to ensure safety, consistent leadership, and a strong school‑community connection.

We urge Trustee Garry Tanuan, Superintendent Ryan Peterson, and the TCDSB to reverse this decision and appoint a dedicated full‑time principal to St. Rene Goupil for 2025–26.
