The Issue
The land and creation cry out for help against greed and power. There is much suffering of life that needs our help to make better changes for them. It is a responsibility we all share, to ensure the sanctity and preservation of our national parks. These parks are not just picturesque landscapes; they are hallowed spaces that hold deep cultural, historical, and ecological significance.
The exploitation of these sacred lands for drilling is a direct betrayal of the agreements made to protect our heritage. These agreements were put in place to ensure that future generations could enjoy and learn from the natural beauty and biodiversity that our national parks offer. We ask that the sanctity of these lands is upheld.
Protecting the wildlife that inhabits these areas is equally important. The barred owl, amongst many other species, depends on these protected environments for survival. Let us commit to ecological stewardship by prohibiting any activities that threaten their existence. This includes halting trophy hunting, a cruel practice that has no place in the modern world. Nature is not a commodity to be used for personal gain but a marvel to witness and respect.
Our advocacy should extend beyond the parks to how we manage farm animals as well. The growth of big factory farms has increasingly denied animals the freedom to roam and live with dignity. We propose that farms and barns should be designed to allow animals space to move, socialize, and live in conditions that respect their well-being. The practice of separating animals from their offspring, as well as inhumane acts like killing baby chickens alive, must stop. All animals deserve to be treated with care and respect throughout their lives.
Additionally, better fencing solutions should be implemented to protect farms from wildlife, reducing unnecessary culling and fostering a harmonious coexistence.
