Protect Our Peace: Reduce Residential Noise Pollution!

Protect Our Peace: Reduce Residential Noise Pollution!
The Issue
Topeka LLC has been providing Miramar Beach Florida Music Vacations on the grounds of Seascape Resort, Miramar Beach Florida since 2022. Since the inception of these Weekend Music Vacations at Seascape the surrounding Miramar Beach Florida residential community has been subjected to excessive noise levels at or above 90 dBl’s. The excessive noise levels repeatedly exceed national noise level standards for outside concert noise levels published by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Center for Disease Control (CDC) and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
For a comprehensive study on the effects of noise pollution on health see Environmental Noise Pollution in the United States: Developing an Effective Public Health Response published by the National Library of Medicine. For shorter article, 4 min read and audio option, please see Noise and Health published by Harvard Medicine
An excerpt from Noise and Health:
"...noise pollution not only drives hearing loss, tinnitus, and hypersensitivity to sound, but can cause or exacerbate cardiovascular disease; type 2 diabetes; sleep disturbances; stress; mental health and cognition problems, including memory impairment and attention deficits; childhood learning delays; and low birth weight."
This petition is to address the issue of excessive noise levels in our residential community, which is causing significant disruption and affecting our well-being.This noise is disrupting our ability as individuals and families to sleep, work, relax, and engage in personal events inside and outside of our residences. It is also impacting our real estate values.
Please sign this petition to support our serious request and effort for noise reduction and a better quality of life in our Miramar Beach Florida community.
