Friends and neighbors,
We wanted to inform everyone that tomorrow’s March 10th Code Enforcement hearing regarding 17751 Nalle Rd has been cancelled.
Unfortunately, this cancellation did not occur because the property has come into compliance. Instead, it appears to be the result of a legal shell game being played by the property owner.
According to public records, the property has now been reincorporated into a Trust, which effectively reset the previous violations and forced the county to reopen the case under a new violation process.
This type of maneuver is a classic delay tactic used to avoid accountability and prolong non-compliant operations.
Meanwhile, the industrial activity continues at the property — grinding, welding, cutting, heavy equipment staging, and truck activity — day in and day out.
All of this is occurring in an area zoned agricultural and residential, while the operation continues attempting to masquerade as a horse veterinary clinic despite the ongoing fabrication and industrial work taking place.
Lee County Has Opened New Violations
This morning we received confirmation from the Lee County Department of Community Development that new violations have already been opened against the property:
• VIO2026-01176
• VIO2026-01177
• VIO2026-01178
• VIO2026-01179
• VIO2026-01180
Code Enforcement has also communicated that they are working closely with the Lee County Zoning Department to ensure that all regulatory angles are addressed when the next hearing is scheduled, should the owner fail to comply.
The county made clear in their communication that:
“Our commitment remains the same: to bring the property into compliance with county ordinances. The community’s concerns and quality of life are our foremost priorities.”
Thank You to Our Neighbors
We want to sincerely thank all of the neighboring residents and community members who have supported us in bringing awareness to what is occurring at the property owned by Susan Blackwell.
Your support has helped ensure that the voices of the Nalle Road community are heard, and that the quality of life for residents remains a priority.
We deeply appreciate everyone who has taken the time to sign the petition, share the issue with others, and stand with our community.
Our goal is to reach more than 500 supporters by April, and with your help we believe we can get there.
If you haven’t already, please consider sharing this petition with friends, neighbors, and community members who care about protecting rural communities and enforcing zoning laws.
Our Community Will Continue Pushing for Enforcement
While this delay tactic is frustrating, it does not change the facts on the ground and it does not change the resolve of the Nalle Road community.
Residents deserve:
• Peaceful enjoyment of their homes (without welding, grinding, and truck noises daily right next door)
• Enforcement of county zoning laws
• Protection of agricultural land use
• Freedom from industrial fabrication operations in a rural neighborhood
We will continue to document activity, work with Lee County officials, and advocate for enforcement until the property is brought fully into compliance.
We will share another update as soon as the next Code Enforcement hearing is scheduled.
Thank you again to everyone who has stood with us.
Truth and accountability will prevail.

PS: My address is 17601 Nalle Rd. I don't hide. Feel free to swing by if you want to witness it first hand during the week. Together, our voice will be heard. Our quality of life is at stake. These types of industrial operations will continue popping up down Nalle and Nalle Grade if we don't stand firm.
