Your support means the world to me! I know you've shared this before, but can you share it one more time?

The Zachary Martin Act received national attention and we had a lot of momentum and support behind it. Due to the pandemic, the bills approved in the legislative session were put on hold. But, I was ok with it because we had stay at home orders, schools switched to online learning formats, and sports were canceled.

Now, phased reopening has allowed high schools to begin summer conditioning. After 3 months of relative inactivity (let's be honest - there has been a LOT of gaming) and living in a temperature controlled environment 24/7, returning to outdoor conditioning workouts, in 90 degree heat and 75-80% humidity is a recipe for disaster. Especially if kids believe they have to make up for lost time!

The Zachary Martin Act specifically includes summer conditioning in its policies to protect kids from Exertional Heat Stroke and Cardiac Arrest. Historically, summer has been excluded from regulation and mandates in Florida until this bill was introduced.

Kids are training outside without mandated protections today. We need the Zachary Martin Act to be signed by Governor DeSantis as soon as possible, before another young life is lost.

PS - I posted a video (my first one!) asking parents to be extra vigilant while their kids are returning to workouts. Feel free to share it as well.
