Friends,

I am sending this email to update you on the progress of the Zachary Martin Act. 

A Bill must have 3 Readings before a full vote can proceed in the Florida House and Senate. Our Bill has already passed favorably in the House and it is now on the Senate calendar for the 2nd Reading tomorrow. It could be placed on the calendar for the 3rd Reading and Senate vote as early as this Thursday. If that is the case, we will post an update here and on our website and social media pages Wednesday afternoon/evening.

The only thing that may hold it up until the following week is deciding which Bill will be used - the House version or the Senate version. They are virtually the same, but seperate Bills were introduced in order for them to move simultaneously through the Committees, rather than wait for the House Bill to complete the Committees and full vote, and then begin Senate Committee hearings.

So, we wait. :)

In the meantime, the change.org petition is gaining signatures every day! We have all Senators and Governor DeSantis copied, so they are updated on the phenomenal support you are giving to the Zachary Martin Act!
