Say No to Unreasonable Facilities! Protect Our Homes!

The Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) is planning to install high-decibel loudspeakers and powerful floodlights at the Northwood High School stadium. While we understand the importance of supporting school activities, this project will bring excessive noise and light pollution directly to the homes of residents living just across the street.

The proposed installation would severely impact our community’s quality of life — disturbing our evenings, disrupting rest for families and children, and creating unnecessary stress for nearby residents. A peaceful and healthy living environment is something every resident deserves, and it should not be compromised by unreasonable facilities.

We call on IUSD and the City of Irvine to reconsider this plan and work with the community to find reasonable, balanced solutions that respect both the school’s needs and the residents’ rights.
