Protect our homes, farms, and future from the Valley Link power line.
The Issue
Our family’s journey led us to the quiet, beautiful landscape of this valley in search of a place to build a meaningful life. What we found here was more than land—it is our home, our farm, and the life we are intentionally creating for our children.
Each day, we care for this land, raise our animals, and invest in a future rooted in hard work, family, and community. This is where our children are growing up. This is where we are putting down roots that we hope will last for generations.
That future is now under threat from the proposed Valley Link power line.
The current plan would place high-voltage transmission lines through residential areas and working farmland like ours. This would not only disrupt daily life, but could permanently alter the character of our community. These lines would impact the land we rely on, interfere with farming operations, and diminish the natural beauty that defines this region.
There are also ongoing concerns about potential long-term health effects associated with living in close proximity to high-voltage power lines. While research continues, many families—like ours—are not comfortable taking that risk when it comes to our children and our homes.
Beyond that, this project could negatively affect property values and take away from the peace and rural charm that make this area such a special place to live and work.
We are not opposed to progress or infrastructure improvements. However, we believe there are more responsible ways to move forward. Rerouting the Valley Link power line through non-residential corridors would help protect homes, preserve farmland, and reduce the impact on families and communities.
We are asking local leaders and decision-makers to reconsider the current route and choose an option that minimizes harm to the people and land it affects.
Your signature matters. By signing this petition, you are standing with families, farmers, and neighbors who are working to protect their homes, their livelihoods, and their future.
Together, we can advocate for a solution that respects both progress and the communities it serves.
