We are heartbroken and outraged by the false narrative being pushed against Mrs. Elwood, a principal who has served our community with fairness, strength, and integrity. The accusations circulating are not based on facts, but on anger and misinformation spread by a handful of parents who refuse to accept outcomes they didn’t agree with and to lash out on leadership regarding problems that are out of the local administrations hands. Rather than working through appropriate channels or accepting that (according the school board) investigations were properly handled by the school, law enforcement, and CPS, these individuals have chosen to attack Mrs. Elwood’s character and leadership. This is not about justice or the well-being of our children — this is about entitlement. When certain parents didn’t get the answers they wanted, they set out to destroy a woman’s career, reputation, and legacy of service to this school. Their campaign is fueled by rumors, half-truths, and a dangerous mob mentality that has no place in our community. Mrs. Elwood has led our school with professionalism, fairness, and heart. She has been consistent, even when difficult decisions had to be made. She does not deserve to be vilified by those who mistake their personal dissatisfaction for wrongdoing. We stand firmly with Mrs. Elwood. We believe in her leadership. We refuse to let lies, misinformation, and entitlement win. Enough is enough. We are speaking out — for truth, for fairness, and for Mrs. Elwood.
