PROTECT OUR DOGS FROM DAWG HOUSE FRAUDS!
The Issue
To all Connecticut Animal Welfare Authorities, Local Officials, and Concerned Community Members:
We are calling for an immediate and thorough investigation into the conditions at Dawg House, a dog daycare and boarding facility in Connecticut.
Dogs are family members. When owners leave their pets in the care of a professional facility, they trust that those animals will receive proper care, a clean environment, and safe living conditions. That trust should never be taken lightly.
Based on firsthand observations and photographic evidence, there are serious concerns regarding the conditions inside this facility, including:
● Broken and rusted kennel enclosures.
● Unsanitary conditions in areas where dogs are housed.
● Concerning cleanliness and sanitation in food storage and preparation areas.
● Conditions that raise questions about the health, safety, and general well-being of the dogs in the facility.
These concerns deserve more than excuses or temporary fixes. They deserve an independent investigation and accountability.
We are asking the Connecticut Department of Agriculture and the appropriate local authorities to:
1. Conduct a thorough, unannounced inspection of Dawg House.
2. Investigate the reported sanitation and facility maintenance concerns.
3. Review the conditions in which dogs are housed, fed, and cared for.
4. Review the facility’s compliance with Connecticut commercial kennel regulations.
5. Require immediate corrective action for any violations discovered.
6. Consider suspension or revocation of the facility’s operating license, including closure if warranted by the findings.
This petition is not about personal disagreements or workplace disputes. It is about animal welfare, public accountability, and the responsibility businesses have when caring for animals that cannot speak for themselves.
Dog owners deserve transparency. Employees deserve a safe and professional environment. Most importantly, the dogs deserve better.
