The American Fork Fitness Center has long been a cornerstone of our community, a place where families of all backgrounds come together to pursue health, connection, and joy. Built on the principles of accessibility, inclusivity, and wellness, the AFFC is more than a gym. It is a shared space that belongs to all of us.

Recent discussions have emerged regarding potential changes to the center's programs. These proposals have not been shared openly with the community, and residents deserve to know whether they align with the values we have worked together to build. Decisions that affect our families should not be made behind closed doors.

We are calling on the American Fork City Council to commit to a transparent, community-led review process before any program changes are implemented. This process should include:

• Direct consultation with AFFC program managers and coaches.
• Detailed notes and supporting materials for any proposed changes, shared publicly in advance.
• Public forums where residents can voice their thoughts, concerns, and ideas.
• Community votes on any significant proposed changes to ensure outcomes truly reflect the will of the people.

The AFFC's strength comes from the community it serves. Any changes to its programs should preserve, and ideally strengthen, its commitment to being a welcoming, family-friendly space for every resident.
