Offshore drilling has led to some of the greatest manmade disasters of our time. Oil spills kill marine life, devastate ocean environments, and risk the livelihoods of coastal communities. We have experienced our share of petroleum disasters, including the 1989 grounding of World Prodigy on Brenton Reef and the 1996 North Cape oil spill off of Moonstone Beach. In Narragansett Bay and throughout the region, we've made extraordinary progress cleaning up our waters. 

Recently, the Trump Administration has proposed an unprecedented expansion to offshore drilling, which directly threatens our coasts. The last thing our coastal environment needs is oil drilling and all of the risks that go with it. Join Save The Bay in opposing this ill-conceived proposal.
