The Issue

Some groups are pushing for Oklahoma’s horizontal well incentive to expire. If they succeed, some of our state’s largest job creators will face a 700% tax increase. Oklahoma's oil and gas industry provides hundreds of thousands of jobs and creates nearly one quarter of the state’s revenue.

Letting the horizontal well incentive expire would force this critical industry to make dramatic job cuts, wreaking havoc on the financial stability of Oklahoma families.
