Students at this time are put under too much pressure to be academically successful when the world around us falls slowly apart. Not only are students at risk for contracting the COVID-19 virus but also they are at risk for deteriorating mental health. Our classes have been getting smaller and smaller as more students are getting the virus or as they become a close contact. Not only that but a lot of the teachers are absent due to the virus. Staffing is short, and students who have been struggling to readjust post-quarantine now have no teachers to walk them through it. We are not prepared to test. Students feel as though the administration does not value our health both physically and mentally. Stress continues to pile onto students and the mental health of the town's youth is deteriorating rapidly. Several towns and states have already taken action and canceled the stressful exams. So why not our town? Help us protect our students and teachers. A majority of teachers agree but only the administration can do something. Please help us stay safe.
