Community spaces are not just buildings or activities. They can provide routine, connection, purpose and a place where people feel understood.
For neurodivergent people and others who rely on predictable, welcoming environments, losing a regular community space can mean losing part of the structure that helps the week make sense.
Today reminded me how quickly uncertainty, changed plans and competing demands can become overwhelming. Accessible community spaces can offer the opposite: consistency, belonging and room to participate without having to constantly explain your needs.
