Mise à jour sur la pétitionProtect No Limits Community Cafe & Hub from Closure🏛️ From Local Voices to Parliament: The Journey Continues

Sometimes progress happens quietly — and sometimes it speaks right from Parliament.

Today, 28 October 2025, I came across something I hadn’t seen before. Martin Wrigley MP spoke during the Access to Work debate, raising the same issues that affected No Limits Café and so many others. Hearing it mentioned in Parliament really hit home how far this journey has travelled.

This campaign began in March 2025 as “Save No Limits Community Café Hub from Closure.” After the café closed on 28 March, it became “Protect Community Spaces” — a call to keep inclusive, supportive places alive for everyone.

Since then, there’s been real movement:

April: Video call with Martin Wrigley MP.

June: Shared my story at the Benefits Reform event.

August: Received a ministerial reply about the issues raised.

September: Petition formally presented in Parliament.

October: Martin Wrigley raised the same concerns in Parliament’s Access to Work debate.

This is now the second time the issue has reached Parliament. The first was the petition’s official presentation in September, and the second came when Martin Wrigley spoke about the same problems — even mentioning No Limits Café by name.

Although my petition wasn’t mentioned directly, the topic, place, and message remain the same — proof that what began locally has grown into part of a national conversation about inclusion, fairness, and access.

A year’s wait just to work again is too long. 🌱
