📜 Milestone reached: Our petition is now in Parliament.
On Thursday 11th September, Martin Wrigley MP formally presented this petition in the House of Commons. It is now recorded in Hansard — the official Parliamentary record. That means our call to protect inclusive community spaces is now permanently on record at the highest level.
This is my very first petition, and as someone who is differently abled and neurodiverse, it has taken a huge amount of work and persistence to reach this stage. I’m so proud that nearly 700 voices from our community are now part of UK history.
👉 What happens next?
The petition has been passed to the Government department responsible. They may respond in writing, but this can take time. For now, the most important thing is that our concerns are on record and cannot be ignored.
I will keep this petition open so new supporters can continue to add their voice, and so I can share updates as things develop.
✊🏻 Thank you for standing with me — this milestone shows that community voices can reach Parliament.
The petitioners remain.
