UPDATE TRIDENT DATA CENTER - AURORA CITY COUNCIL - JOIN US and SHOW UP
Aurora City Council meets Monday, Sept. 28 at 6 PM, sign up now to speak on the Trident data center and the other data centers planned in Aurora. If you want to speak, sign up before 1 PM Monday.
Here's the sign-up form:
The data center isn't on the agenda, so we're speaking during public comment.
A few things to know:
1) What we're asking council to do: act now, before Trident gets final approval. ask them to "CALL UP" the decision for a public hearing and a council vote, and set a buffer of at least one mile from the nearest homes and schools. Then write real regulations alongside independent scientists, public health experts, and community members to protect our water, air, neighborhoods, and schools.
2)You don't have to live in Aurora to speak! Residents do get priority if the list fills up, so if you live in aurora, bring an ID, utility bill, or lease. You'll get 3 minutes (4 minutes if you need an ADA accommodation, ADA call 303.326.8858 as soon as you can). After you sign up, you should receice a confirm email, check spam, from the City Clerk.
3)Where: Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Pkwy. Go in the east doors facing Chambers Road. Doors open at 4:45. If you can't sign up online, you can sign up in person between 5 and 5:45, but online is much safer. Meeting starts at 6pm.
Please wear black so we can sit together and be seen. Signs are not allowed inside.
Even if you don't want to speak, SHOWING UP also makes a difference. A full room says a lot.
Please share this. Hope to see you Monday!
