Curtis GatewoodBurlington, NC, United States
Feb 28, 2024

As you can see, this U.S. Civil Rights Complaint to ’Protect NAACP Members from Unfair Suspensions’ and ensure due process for all human beings, was started on February 10, 2024.

The first goal was to get 50 signatures by the first week (2/17/24) - we surpassed our goal with 60 signatures!

Our next goal was to get 100 signatures by the second week (2/24/24) - we surpassed that goal with over 120 signatures.

Our next goal was to get 150 signatures by the end of Black History Month (2/29/24) - we already have surpassed that goal with 177 (last count) signatures as of 2/28/24.  God has therefore shown us, we are working toward a need that is felt by individual social justice advocates around this nation.

Our next goal is to have 200 signatures by March 2, 2024, please help us reach or surpass this goal, and the next, and the next until our valid external as well as internal complaints of injustice, and the backward and dangerous eradication of DUE PROCESS will no longer fall upon deaf ears.

DUE PROCESS

The absence of DUE PROCESS is what allowed nearly 7,000 of the nation’s most savage lynchings of Black people (largely Black men) across the South between 1890 to 1955.

For example, a criminal or emotionally-charged and/or “sexual” allegation that supposedly harmed a White person, would be made against a targeted Black individual (oftentimes a successful or promising Black man); lynching mob-leaders would have the allegations placed in newspapers to stir up large-spread White-anger toward the Black suspect, and declare him/her guilty in the media’s court of PUBLIC OPINION by those who know nothing about the facts (without a trial or any other forum that would hear truth, sworn testimony, actual facts, and cross examination of claimed “witnesses”).

The widespread allegations, with the help of media validation, subsequently would be what the lynching mobsters wanted as it rapidly demonized their victim unjustly; the media’s involvement psychologically gave the criminal allegations merit, even when totally false; this would in turn open the door for the lynchers to take their misguided and savage actions with a ground-swell of White support for the lynching as hundreds would show up to cheer the blood-thirsty lynchers on as if they were heroes.

Our petition is consistent and is on the side of the ancestors who died fighting for civil/human treatment and protections from the lynching mobs.  Our petition is consistently on the side of the civil rights victories won by martyrs and TRUE civil rights sheroes and heroes who came before us.  Our petition is therefore consistent with early civil rights legislation as found in the 5th and 14th Amendments, that sought to provide “DUE PROCESS” to protect the rights of freed Black slaves.

——————————————-

Therefore our petition simply seeks to ensure all concerned, we will not succumb to, nor tolerate the slightest backward step toward any tactic from the Lynching Mobsters Playbook, neither externally nor internally; neither by White men nor any other race or sexual orientation of beings who possess power.

We subsequently demand FAIR AND IMPARTIAL DUE PROCESS in all matters (whether external or internal and without regard to race of the violator of our rights) that may result in any form of death, punishment, harm to one’s reputation/livelihood, suspension, expulsion, ban, loss of employment or position of authority, denial of a candidate’s right to seek office (internally or externally) or deny an eligible voter’s right to vote (internally or externally) PERIOD.  This makes our petition not only on the right side of Black History, it is on the side of BLACK FUTURE; it is on the right side of all oppressed people; it is on the right side of God Almighty - “Do unto to others as you would have them to do unto you.”

This is why we are humbled, yet pleased to announce that our petition is growing steadily with BROAD-BASE support!  In other words, the signees did not come out of from one particular entity that is hierarchically controlled by a certain personality/individual.  God is sending these LOVE-SIGNATURES from almost every corner of the nation and beyond, such as the following:
