Jefferson County Public Schools in Kentucky is pushing for a "seniority = most qualified" type of deal. However, Just because you have been in the system longer than another music education teacher, does not mean you are qualified for that person's music job. Many music education jobs in JCPS will suffer because of this motive. JCPS is also taking high school directors jobs and putting them in an elementary or middle school position due to "overstaffing in the music department" PROTECT THESE DIRECTOR'S JOBS!
