We need your help! Ford Motor Company is considering the Marshall Megasite for its EV Battery plant in partnership with the Chinese company CATL.
Several historic farmsteads in Marshall Township will be destroyed if the 1,800 acre Marshall Megasite is built. We want this land to be Calhoun County's first State Park Recreation Area to feature an agricultural district with historic farmsteads, community gardens and agricultural history museum. The Park would include tent camping and primitive cabins and 30 miles of trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding along 2.5 miles of the Kalamazoo River. We are also proposing the building of a new Museum of Natural History to house the Kingman Museum collection and State of the Art Planetarium on the east end of the Park just off the I-69 exit. This would be Southwest Michigan's premier Preservation Recreation Destination! The park can be entered via canoe/kayak from Marshall or a two mile bike path from the Center of Marshall. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Help spread the word. www.michiganmegasite.com
