Supporters,
Thank you for your continued support in our fight for safe, equitable, and accountable healthcare at Roseland Community Hospital. Together, we have reached a milestone: over 1,000 signatures on our petition calling for state oversight of Roseland’s leadership and the creation of a Community Oversight Board.
Your voices are being heard. Here are our next steps:
-Formal Submission: We are delivering the petition to Governor Pritzker, the Illinois Department of Public Health, CMS, the Illinois Attorney General, and our state legislators to demand oversight and accountability. We will also be sending the letter and petition directly to Roseland’s leadership and Board of Directors, putting them on notice that the community is united and watching.
-Legislative Engagement: We are requesting meetings with Senator Emil Jones III and Representative Robert Rita to ensure our concerns are prioritized in Springfield.
-Community Mobilization: Following the success of our June 28th community forum, which brought together residents, stakeholders, and former staff, we will hold our next forum in late September. Stay tuned for details. Your participation will be key.
-Ongoing Pressure: We will continue to send letters, organize supporters, and call for transparency until action is taken.
This is just the beginning. Thank you for standing with us, for raising your voices, and for committing to fight for health equity in Roseland and across Chicago.
👉 Call to Action: Please share this petition with 5 more people, friends, family, coworkers, or neighbors so we can grow our movement and reach 2,000 signatures in the next 30 days. The more voices we bring, the stronger our demand for accountability.
In Solidarity
