Dear Elected Officials and Public Health Leaders,

As a concerned supporter of the petition for oversight and accountability at Roseland Community Hospital, I am urging your office to take immediate action.

Roseland Community Hospital is in crisis. Reports from a former compliance consultant and other internal sources have revealed:

EMTALA violations and patient deaths due to refusal of emergency care
Unsafe emergency conditions, lack of medical supplies, and critical understaffing
Fraudulent billing practices and HIPAA violations
Nonprofit abuse, including commingling of funds and self-dealing contracts
A board and leadership structure that lacks independence and accountability
Retaliation against whistleblowers who tried to expose the truth
This publicly funded hospital is supposed to serve a vulnerable community. Instead, it is endangering patients and shielding those responsible.

I join the community in demanding:

• Immediate state and county oversight of the hospital’s leadership and finances
• Removal of current C-suite and medical leadership
• Reconstruction of the Board of Directors with qualified and independent members
