We are really happy the New York Assembly has a new lead advocate for the Child Victims Act, which is designed to make it easier for child sex abuse victims to seek legal recourse as adults; and therefore protects today's children from similar crimes. Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal (D-Manhattan) will carry the legislation after its longtime sponsor, Margaret Markey (D-Queens), lost her primary in September. “I really wanted this bill because I think it’s so important in terms of protecting our children who are vulnerable to pedophiles who have not been brought to justice, as well as helping to heal survivors who have been denied justice,” she said. “I will be a strong advocate for this.” We're closing the gap to 75,000 signatures. Legislators won't be able to ignore that expression of the will of the people; so please find someone else to add their name and between us we'll make our target! Thanks for caring about kids
