Firstly thank you for being one of the first 60,000 people to sign this petition. With your help we will pass the Child Victims Act this year; and this after a 10 year struggle. Today we have the Governor's support, and the support of the Democratic and Independent Democrats but we still need the support of the Republican party currently voting in a block against the bill. Today the New York Daily News publishes an an op-ed by Nikki DuBose, Author, Speaker, and Mental Health Advocate outlining the massive cost of child sexual abuse to us all as taxpayers. As Nikki says, "No one, particularly New York’s boys and girls, can afford to wait any longer." the time to pass the Child Victims Act is now. Please help New York's boys and girls by continuing to promote this petition. We know that the politicians in Albany are watching it closely.
