Protect K-Town Kids

Protect K-Town Kids
The Issue
K-Town Community –
In wake of the recent sexual harassment of our 9-year-old daughter at North Kannapolis Elementary by a KCS staff member, we come to you’ll to support the removal of North Kannapolis Elementary Principle (Lauren Dobblin), Facility Custodian (Carl “Andy” Scheler), Resource Officer (Officer Carson) and Administrative Assistant (Kimberly Overcash Orbison).
Those listed above blatantly endangered the students of North Kannapolis Elementary and intentionally mislead parents and the K-Town community of the narrative and magnitude of the events that have unfolded at their educational facility. Through the continued employment of the facility custodian, understanding the sexual harassment allegation(s) presented against him, the leaders of North Kannapolis Elementary have chosen who they’ll protect and unfortunately that is NOT OUR CHILDREN.
Several students and parents have come forth providing statements and proof of communication with North Kannapolis Elementary staff members about the misconduct of the facility custodian and they’ve received no support or resolution.
NOW IS THE TIME TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN.
We have the opportunity and platform to hold those we entrusted with our children accountable for their actions and the lack thereof. As a community, we must strike while the irons hot for the justice and peace of mind our babies deserve.
By signing this petition, our children can begin to heal knowing their voices were heard and we stood together to ensure their safety.
