The trees on Jingu Gaien's famous gingko tree avenue have changed colors and are particularly beautiful right now. Perfect time to visit! Please join me (Rochelle Kopp) on Saturday at 1 pm for a walk around Jingu Gaien to learn more about the redevelopment plan. I'll explain what is going to be built, what is going to be torn down, which trees will be removed, and why the redevelopment plan is endangering the gingko avenue too. As well as explain the original design and intention of the park.
This will be the first time doing a study walk through the park in English.
It's supposed to rain in the late morning but the rain is expected to be over by 1 pm. We'll still do the walk if it's drizzling though.
A little rain will mean fewer people will be at the park, which is a good thing because it's been incredibly crowded lately on sunny days.
We will meet at 1 pm at the entrance to the gingko avenue, on the east side (closest to Aoyama I-chome Station. Here is a Google pin: https://goo.gl/maps/cH76zpLodxbawYHc8
Also, reminder I will be speaking at Temple U. about Jingu Gaien in the evening on Monday November 28th. Details here: http://www.icontact-archive.com/archive?c=397830&f=36414&s=63915&m=1843152&t=00f20e4d0943c83aa4f486cd1bcbf29fe24d42a8d3ab628ae20b99040f89ea31
