Protect Pocklington Lodge: Specialist Housing for Blind and Partially Sighted People

TPT plans to sell Pocklington Lodge as its objectives have changed. Critically, TPT is refusing to protect the building's designated function for visually impaired residents, risking the loss of its status as specialist housing. Current residents fear for the future of their homes and the community support they rely on in this tailored environment.

This sale reflects a wider crisis: the loss of specialist accommodation for blind and partially sighted people across London, and serious concerns about vulnerable people's access to justice.

We call on Sir Stephen Timms, Minister for Disability, to intervene immediately to protect Pocklington Lodge's designated status as housing for blind and partially sighted people.
