We had a good meeting at the Regional Parks Committee this morning (Feb. 4, 2026) where we presented our objections to the planned redesignations of trails.  Both the Committee and the park staff were receptive to our input and for now have decided to hold off on making trail redesignations pending further study of the situation. They have asked that folks stop sending emails objecting to the proposed trail redesignations in the Report, as they have decided not to move forward with those at this time. They are moving forward with improved signage and enhanced enforcement and education efforts.  

Stay tuned for further proposals, but at this point no trail redesignations would seem to be happening imminently.
