Govalle Elementary is not just a school — it is a community where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Families like mine have seen the difference. My child has perfect attendance and has never loved a teacher as much as he does here. That is because of the dedicated staff, strong leadership, and welcoming environment that make Govalle special.

Govalle is working. Our school is showing progress and academic growth. Reading scores are climbing, and our kids benefit from music and art classes that enrich their learning. Summer camps, SEL activities, and attendance incentives support the whole child. Our principal, assistant principals, teachers, and staff work tirelessly to make sure every child belongs. The Govalle PTA and families stand together to lift up our kids and our community.

AISD’s proposal to move Montessori into Govalle would take all of this away. It risks dismantling programs, displacing staff and leadership, and disrupting the safe and thriving environment our children depend on. For generations, Govalle has supported Austin families. We are asking AISD to listen to parents, teachers, and students and keep Govalle strong. Please sign and share to protect our children’s future.

Govalle Elementary no es solo una escuela, es una comunidad donde los niños se sienten seguros, apoyados y emocionados por aprender. Familias como la mía han notado la diferencia. Mi hijo tiene una asistencia perfecta y nunca ha amado a un profesor tanto como aquí. Eso se debe al personal dedicado, el fuerte liderazgo y el ambiente acogedor que hacen que Govalle sea especial.

Govalle está trabajando. Nuestra escuela está mostrando progreso y crecimiento académico. Las puntuaciones de lectura están aumentando, y nuestros niños se benefician de las clases de música y arte que enriquecen su aprendizaje. Los campamentos de verano, las actividades de SEL y los incentivos de asistencia apoyan a todo el niño. Nuestro director, subdirectores, maestros y personal trabajan incansablemente para asegurarse de que todos los niños pertenezcan. La PTA de Govalle y las familias se unen para elevar a nuestros hijos y a nuestra comunidad.

La propuesta de AISD de trasladar a Montessori a Govalle le quitaría todo esto. Corre el riesgo de desmantelar programas, desplazar al personal y a la dirección, y a interrumpir el entorno seguro y próspero del que dependen nuestros hijos.
