The Issue

Everywhere I look, another piece of Florida’s beautiful landscape is being replaced with data centers and new developments. Our state is losing the natural charm and biodiversity that make it unique. Remember the Old Florida with its lush greenery, diverse wildlife, and serene nature spots? We can’t let that just be a memory.

The transformation into a landscape dominated by concrete and technology doesn't only affect aesthetics. It impacts local wildlife that depends on these ecosystems for survival. Species are being displaced, and our natural resources are under pressure. This is not the Florida I know and love, and I bet it's not the Florida you want either.

Imagine a future where the beauty of Florida's natural landscapes is relegated to history books. We owe it to ourselves and to generations to come to preserve the Old Florida charm. The biodiversity here is irreplaceable, and once it's gone, it's gone for good. This is beyond nostalgia—this is about our environment’s health and sustainability.

It's time to take a stand for our state. I urge you to join me in calling for a halt on new data center developments. By signing this petition, we can send a strong message to our local leaders that we value and demand the protection of Florida’s natural landscapes.

Let’s act now to preserve the nature we all cherish. Sign this petition and help save Old Florida for us and future generations.
