I wanted to let everyone know that I’ve emailed multiple decision-makers within the Florida House and Senate—about our petition. I’m continuing to reach out to more state officials and agencies to make sure our concerns are heard.

On a related note: yes, Florida wildlife officials have approved a controlled black bear hunt for December 2025. It will be limited to 187 permits in specific zones. While this isn’t about our petition topic directly, it underscores why it’s so important for us to stay engaged on wildlife policy decisions.
