Our Story: Why We’re Fighting for Safer Pet Products

We are the founders of Little Lupo®, a company created out of love for animals and in honor of one very special pup named Traffic.

Traffic was our happy, energetic dog. Strong, playful, and perfectly healthy. Like any responsible pet parents, we did our homework and chose a dog food that was marketed as “premium” and “healthy.” We trusted the label. But what we didn’t know was that this very food contained ingredients linked to dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), a serious heart condition that slowly took Traffic from us.

Despite heartbreaking evidence and ongoing reports, that exact food is still being sold in stores today. No warning labels. No recalls. No action.

Why This Matters

If nothing changes, more pets will suffer unknowingly, and more families will experience the kind of loss we did. Harmful ingredients, unsafe fillers, and misleading claims in pet food, treats, supplements, and other pet products are putting animals at risk every single day. Without stronger regulations and independent oversight, the pet industry will continue to prioritize profits over pet safety.

Every pet deserves products that are truly safe and transparent. Pet parents deserve confidence in every choice they make.
