There are five severely endangered animal species in the Philippines: sea turtles, hawksbills, and Irrawaddy dolphin, Whale shark, Philippine eagle,Hubbard wrasse, and the animals species that have become endangered due to overhunting and overharvesting.changes in climate and loss or deterioration of habitat.

The best way we can protect them is protect the special places where they live. We can volunteer in any nature activity Like Volunteer for cleanups in your community, shop wisely, reduce, reuse, recycle or plant three, conserve water, educate yourself

The Philippines is one of the world’s most biodiverse and fascinating countries but it's also host to a great number of endangered species we can teach our friends and family about,Importance of protecting them because If we do not protect our animals, we risk losing them forever. This might significantly affect our environment and ecosystems. When a species becomes endangered, it is a sign that the ecosystem is slowly falling apart. Each species that is lost leads to loss of other species within its ecosystem. losing certain animal species can also disrupt the balance of an ecosystem,It is important that we take steps to protect and conserve animals to ensure their continued survival. Protecting endangered species is crucial for the preservation of biodiversity and the maintenance of healthy ecosystems. Preserving biodiversity and maintaining healthy ecosystems and provide valuable resources for human populations

Things we can do to prevent the losses of animal species

•We can report wild animals to the government is through the DENR’s Action Center hotline. Other ways to report are through social media, text message, e-mail, or by mentioning it to DENR personnel. Once reported, the information on wildlife species is forwarded to the DENR’s Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB). The WRD, which is part of the BMB, will then record any information submitted via phone call, online messaging, or verbal complaint.

• You can also report Under the law (Republic Act No. 9147 or Wildlife Conservation and Protection Act) anyone who captures or kills an endangered species will be imprisoned for six to 12 years and fined P100,000 to P1 million.
