As mentioned on Tuesday’s update post, the California Senate Appropriations Committee is voting on AB 1703 on Thursday, August 13. I will be submitting our petition and signatures to the Committee on Tuesday, August 11, before the close of business, to ensure our opposition gets reviewed by the Committee.

We need your help to make a quick call to the Committee before August 12 to protect safe, traditional bodywork and complementary care practitioners from the restrictions in AB 1703. The call will take less than 60 seconds.

When to call: Mon - Fri, between 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM or 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM. (Calling during business hours ensures a live person hears us, creating a much bigger impact!).

Hi, my name is __________ from [Your City]. I am a concerned California resident and taxpayer calling to urge the Committee to oppose and hold AB 1703 by Assemblymember Hart on the Suspense File.

This bill hurts healthcare access by targeting safe, traditionally trained manual osteopaths and bodywork practitioners. It restricts consumer choice and will waste state resources and tax dollars on unnecessary regulation.

These practices are already regulated under California’s Health Freedom law, SB 577. Please protect consumers and taxpayers by holding AB 1703 on the Suspense File. Thank you.
