Title:
Protect Carson Families and Pets from Coyotes
Petition Text:
Our community in Carson, CA, is facing an urgent and heartbreaking problem: coyotes are roaming residential neighborhoods, jumping fences, and attacking beloved pets in their own backyards. Recently, our dog, Bambi, was tragically killed by a coyote that entered our yard. She was not just a pet—she was a part of our family and an emotional support animal to my father.
This is not an isolated incident. Many families in Carson, particularly near the Dominguez Channel, have reported increased coyote sightings and attacks. The emotional and financial toll on our community is devastating. Coyotes pose not only a threat to our pets but also to our children and neighbors.
We are calling on the City of Carson and Los Angeles County to take immediate and meaningful action to address the coyote problem. This includes:
1. Trapping and Relocation: Removing coyotes from residential areas and relocating them to safer, natural habitats.
2. Barriers and Deterrents: Installing fences or deterrents along problem areas, like the Dominguez Channel, to keep coyotes from entering neighborhoods.
3. Public Education: Providing residents with information and resources to protect their homes, families, and pets.
4. Coyote Management Plan: Developing and funding a long-term solution to manage the growing coyote population in Carson.
We cannot bring back the pets we have lost, but we can demand action to prevent future tragedies. No family should have to wake up to find their pet killed in their own backyard. Together, we can push our city officials to protect Carson residents and their loved ones.
Please sign this petition to stand with us and demand justice for our pets and safety for our community.
