If you haven’t already, please could you send a quick email to planning.policy@ribblevalley.gov.uk to confirm that you support and agree with the new Article 4 Direction for HMOs in Ribble Valley.
This means the council will now have greater oversight of proposals to turn smaller family homes into HMOs. Previously, some changes could take place without a planning application, which raised real concerns around overcrowding, suitability, management and safeguarding.
It doesn’t need to be long, even just a sentence confirming your support is helpful. And please do pass this on to friends and family too. We need to make as much noise as possible.
