Our Braid River Walk is treasured by both residents and visitors, and faces an imminent threat from a proposed residential development situated between Tullygarley and Grange Road.  We are deeply concerned about the potential impact this development could have on our beloved river walk. We cherish the access to nature and the tranquility that the Braid River Walk offers. However, this proposed development raises significant issues related to environmental degradation, and disruptions to the local biodiversity and ecological balance.

The Braid River Walk is more than just a path, it is loved by walkers, runners, anglers and is critical to physical and mental wellbeing, especially over Covid. How amazing it is to have this walk on our doorstep.

The introduction of a residential development threatens to disturb this delicate ecosystem, potentially displacing numerous species and altering the landscape irreversibly.

Traffic congestion and access issues are also of concern because increased vehicular activity could result in safety hazards for walkers and cyclists and strain the existing infrastructure, affecting the quality of life for nearby residents.
