📢 Update on Our Concerns
I recently received a response from the City regarding the destructive “maintenance” practices in our public green spaces. Their reply was:
“Good afternoon.
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns and provide such a detailed perspective on this matter. I have received your message and will take the opportunity to review it carefully.
I will follow up with you next week once I have had the chance to discuss this internally with the appropriate staff.”
While I’m grateful that they responded, I remain cautious. Words are easy—what truly matters is whether practices change and our natural spaces are treated with respect and care.
👉 This is where you come in: if you see any examples of destructive “maintenance” (such as mowed-down wildflowers, damaged trees, or scalped prairies), please share details—photos, dates, and locations are especially helpful. The more evidence we can gather, the stronger our case becomes.
Thank you for continuing to stand with me and with our community’s green spaces. Together, we can make sure our city cares for the land we share. 🌱
📢 Please also share this petition with your friends, neighbors, and local groups. The more voices we bring together, the harder it will be for decision-makers to ignore.
