The recent 6th-grade child's comment highlights serious concerns about board engagement and ALL students' well-being. A child’s plea for understanding reflects a boarder issue of accountability within our school district. As we navigate this situation, it’s crucial to ensure that every child’s voice is heard and valued.
This was a heartbreaking conversation between a daddy and his daughter, on the way home from the Tuesday Policy Meeting.
'Daddy those people sitting there don't care about how I feel getting undressed in front of boys because it's not them. It's not hard - boys go with boys, girls go with girls. Can I just not change in the locker room and bring extra deodorant?'
Even a 12-year-old child is smart enough to know when the board President Bonnie Wolff refuses to make eye contact, is blatantly distracted, and busy doodling on paper while people address the board.
Is disrespect, disinterest, and avoidance what you voted for?
NEXT MEETING: Sept 17 - 6 PM AGIS
We have a plan and need your continued support to work together in fostering a supportive environment even if the Avon Grove School Board will not.
- PA Law Provides Sex-Based Protections
- Six out of nine board members seem to be failing all children in the Avon Grove School district.
They are unwilling to do their jobs and create a solution to a known SIX-year-old problem while they continue to do nothing and provide excuses. Some board members have served this entire time.
