Being a son of this soil, I proudly stand with the ST Bachao Andolan's efforts to preserve the cultural fabric and safety of Arunachal Pradesh. Our state is a mosaic of 26 major tribes, each contributing to a beautiful and united tapestry of diversity. However, recent developments have put our vibrant culture and peaceful community at risk.

Firstly, we are witnessing a growing issue where our tribal sisters, who marry non-tribal individuals, continue to enjoy the Scheduled Tribe (ST) status. This not only undermines the integrity of our tribal identity but also dilutes the privileges meant to uplift the genuine members of our tribes. It is essential for us to ensure that those who marry outside do not exploit this status but instead should be reclassified as Non-APST. This change would help maintain the intended benefits for the true tribal population and uphold our unique cultural heritage.

Another pressing concern is the rapid influx of Bangladeshi Miya entry into Arunachal Pradesh without proper Inner Line Permit (ILP) verification. This unregulated movement poses a serious threat to our security as it leads to an increase in crimes such as murder, theft, and scams, thereby destabilizing our communities. To address this, stringent measures must be implemented to regulate and monitor these entries, ensuring that every individual entering our state complies with the laws and respects the local customs and traditions.
