Update: We just sent our historic Blueprint to Gov. Newsom! 🐕🐈

Dear Campaign Supporters, We have officially submitted our comprehensive Animal Welfare Reform Blueprint directly to Governor Newsom’s office. Thanks to your incredible momentum, we are demanding a sweeping, statewide package to end the shelter crisis: * Strengthening the Hayden Act to legally ban euthanasia for healthy and/or treatable conditions like URIs. * A total ban on backyard breeding and requiring responsible breeders to obtain licenses. * Mandatory low-cost spay/neuter clinics and rental housing protections for pet owners. * A major public-private donor coalition to fund emergency quarantine spaces and humane shelter expansions. What’s next? We are pushing for an official meeting with the Governor's policy team to get this package drafted into law. We are also officially opening our Philanthropic Capital initiative to secure private donors who can finance shelter renovations immediately. We cannot slow down now.
