Over the last few months I’ve had extremely positive and constructive conversations with officers at Wirral Council’s Regeneration department and the Neighbourhood and Place Department. They have been open-minded, supportive, and genuinely passionate about our community.

From the very beginning, our petition was never about money—it was about opening a dialogue. We wanted to start talking seriously about the future of street art in New Brighton, and how it might also fit into a wider vision for creativity across our peninsula. Thanks to your support, that dialogue is now happening.

I want to thank everyone who signed, donated, shared, and stood with us. You showed love not only for our town, but also for our creative spirit and our most cherished public artworks. Special thanks go to the leadership and officers at Wirral Council who go above and beyond every day. They believe in the power of creativity, and in the incredible talent that lives here.

We’ve also been fortunate to receive wonderful support from local businesses, stakeholders, and corporations here in Merseyside, as well as the Liverpool Combined Authority. Together we will be joining forces to deliver something truly special for our town as we grow our mural trail and take New Brighton’s street art to the next level.

All we ever asked for was collaboration. And that’s exactly what we’ve achieved.

I couldn’t be happier with this outcome—and I’m so excited to share with you very soon the new wave of murals that will be brightening the walls of our wonderful seaside town.

Thank you again. We couldn’t have done this without you.
