Wansford fishing lakes are under threat of a 22 berth marina and this needs to be stopped now.

I have always found solace in the natural world. Fishing amongst the wildlife of East Yorkshire has provided me with a therapeutic escape from everyday life. However, our local wildlife is under threat, and we must act now to protect it.

East Yorkshire is home to a diverse range of species, many of which are increasingly endangered due to habitat loss and pollution. According to the State of Nature Report 2019, 15% of wildlife species in the UK are threatened with extinction (source: RSPB). Our local area is no exception.

Our actions today will determine whether future generations can enjoy the same experiences we have had. We need stricter regulations on pollution control and habitat conservation in East Yorkshire. By doing so, we can ensure that our children and grandchildren can also find peace amongst nature as I have done.
