America's Red Rock Wilderness Act seeks to serve the public interest by permanently protecting more than 9 million acres of wilderness-quality land in Utah. All lands proposed for wilderness designation in the bill are owned by the American public and administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Please ask your members of Congress to cosponsor this visionary legislation!
Please cosponsor America's Red Rock Wilderness Act, which was reintroduced in the Senate by Sen. Richard Durbin and in the House of Representatives by Rep. Rush Holt. This important bill would protect as wilderness 9.2 million acres of the stunning canyons, mesas and rivers of southern Utah. The lands in the bill are already owned and managed by the Bureau of Land Management and belong to all Americans, which makes your cosponsorship of this legislation so important.
The world-renowned lands included in America's Red Rock Wilderness Act are home to dozens of threatened and rare plant and animal species, priceless archaeological resources, scenic vistas and recreational opportunities that are beloved by Americans throughout the country. These lands surround and buffer some of our most important national parks including Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef and Zion. But they are also under constant pressure from oil and gas drilling, mining, and unchecked off-road vehicle use. Without this bill we could lose some of the wildest places still remaining in the continental United States.
Please help protect these spectacular landscapes for future generations by becoming a cosponsor of America's Red Rock Wilderness Act!
